What is Class 6 Social Science?
Class 6 Social Science introduces students to important ideas related to geography, history, Indian civilisation, cultural heritage, family and community, democracy, governance, work and economic activities. The new integrated approach helps students connect different areas of Social Science instead of studying them as completely separate subjects.
Class 6 SST Chapters 2026–27
The current NCERT Class 6 Social Science textbook contains 14 chapters. These chapters cover topics ranging from locating places on Earth and studying oceans and landforms to India's history, cultural roots, grassroots democracy and economic life.
