Culture and Socialization
Culture includes learned meanings, practices, values and material objects. Socialisation is the continuing process through which people learn how to participate in social life. Family, peers, school, media and community can teach overlapping or competing expectations. Culture is shared but not uniform: people interpret and contest it.
Revision check: Trace how one everyday practice is learned and explain how it may vary between groups.

Check your understanding: Define the central idea, explain it using a relevant example, and identify one limitation or condition that changes its application.
Practice
- Summarise the main concept in your own words.
- Apply it to a short real-life or classroom example and justify your reasoning.
