Curriculum structure
CBSE 2026–27 prescribes four theory units and practical work: Computer System, Python, Database Concepts and SQL, and Emerging Trends.
Verified syllabus units (4)
Introduction to Computer System
A computer system combines input/output, CPU, memory, storage and software. RAM supports active processing; secondary storage retains data. System software manages hardware while application software serves user tasks.
Introduction to Python
Python uses indentation for blocks. Input is text until converted. Lists are ordered and mutable; dictionaries map keys to values. NumPy arrays support numerical work. Example: marks=[72,81,67]; average=sum(marks)/len(marks) gives 73.33.
Database Concepts and SQL
Relational tables contain rows (tuples) and columns (attributes). A primary key uniquely identifies a row. CREATE/ALTER define structures; SELECT retrieves; INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE change records. Use WHERE to restrict updates and deletes.
Introduction to Emerging Trends
AI, machine learning, NLP, AR/VR, robotics, big data, IoT, cloud and blockchain solve different problems. Evaluate data privacy, bias, access, security, cost and energy use; technology labels do not guarantee quality.
